BOC request Bubbles touch on their XDS Scroll pump rig After a continued relationship with BOC Edwards, Bubble Automation was asked to provide an upgrade solution to an existing XDS – Scroll pump test facility at their Burgess Hill plant. | control system together with an Opto 22 SCADA based PC. After an internal investigation of the proposed requirements and costs etc, it was decided to keep the Opto 22 Control (I/O units) and replace the SCADA. At that time Bubble Automation had little experience with the Opto 22 system, so the project was split into two sections. The first involved proving that the Opto 22 control units could be communicated with successfully. This was completed and a demonstration held at the BOC Edwards plant at Burgess Hill.
